The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Superintendent Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber) to join a rapidly growing and ambitious online healthcare and pharmacy group.

The organisation operates across the UK and Europe, delivering innovative healthcare solutions with a strong focus on patient care, safety and service excellence.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Superintendent Pharmacist who has experience within online pharmacy and weight management services, and is looking to take ownership of pharmacy operations within a growing healthcare business.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure the highest standards of regulatory compliance, operational performance and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of an established online pharmacy, ensuring efficient and compliant service delivery.
• Act as the Superintendent Pharmacist, maintaining compliance with GPhC, MHRA and all relevant UK pharmacy regulations.
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and wider support teams.
• Lead, develop and mentor the pharmacy team, promoting a positive culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive business growth through effective operational strategies, service development and customer acquisition.
• Work closely with the senior leadership team to establish and achieve commercial targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Monitor pharmacy performance, sales figures and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support the introduction of new healthcare services and products, ensuring safe and effective implementation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve the digital customer journey, patient experience and overall pharmacy efficiency.

Essential Requirements

• Must hold current GPhC registration.
• Qualified Independent Prescriber.
• Minimum of 6 months' prescribing experience.
• Previous experience working within an online or digital pharmacy environment.
• Experience within weight management or weight loss services is highly desirable.
• Previous experience managing pharmacy operations and leading a team.
• Strong understanding of UK pharmacy legislation, regulatory requirements and clinical governance.
• Commercially aware, with experience working towards business objectives, sales targets and KPIs.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing healthcare environment.
