Description
Priory Lombard House is looking to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist (Part time specialist) to join the team. This is a part time role of 30 hours per week working across two of our services, Lombard House and Richmond House in Norfolk

Located in Norfolk near the market town of Attleborough, Priory Lombard House is a specialist level 2 rehabilitation service for males with a learning disability. Care also extends to a dual diagnosis of autism, personality disorder and mental health conditions, with or without a history of offending behaviour.

Based in Harleston, Norfolk, Priory Richmond House is a level 2 rehabilitation service for those with a learning disability. We can support adult females with a range of needs, including those who are on the autism spectrum, those with a personality disorders, complex mental health needs, and those with a history of offending behaviours.




What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients
  • Manages and co-ordinates the implementation of individual treatment plans for speech and language therapy services ensuring treatments, activities and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication. Receives and responds promptly to referrals undertaking assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions on an individual or group basis. Maintains accurate and timely records detailing each patient's rehabilitation / progress.
  • Ensures the effective and efficient management of more junior staff.
  • Maintains and develops close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring clinical practice is in line with Priory policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards.

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree along with HPC registration and a postgraduate qualification awarded by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT). They should also have experience in the field, including some within the specialised area of practice.
