Speech and Language Therapist - Band 6
Your World has a brilliant new opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Adult Dysphagia Speech and Language Therapist with post-graduate experience working with adult learning disabilities.
We are looking for an adaptable Speech and Language Therapist to work on Inpatient Mental Health Wards to support our Physical Health team. Ideally someone who either has a confident and competent range of communication skills and/or dysphagia training/Swallowing skill either level B or C. The person must be experienced in performing language and communication assessments (could be paediatric or adults) good to have some experience with learning disabilities.
A SLT is needed to improve physical health outcomes across our inpatient mental health units, usually treating dysphagia and communication disorders. The units consist of separate medium secure wards for older adults, men and women with differing levels of acuity.

You will be joining an experienced and highly motivated team in West London. Pay rate ranging between £24 - £26 P/H per hour depending on experience.
The SLT we are looking for will have previously worked with adults as a post-graduate therapist.
They will be encouraging, supportive, and understanding of the varied patient needs they may encounter. The right candidate must also have exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with patients.

Requirements:
- An HCPC-approved degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Right to Work in the UK
- Valid HCPC registration
- NQP (Newly Qualified Practitioner) competencies completed
- Dysphagia Training and Competencies completed
- Post-graduate experience working with Learning Disabilities
