Description
Priory is looking to recruit a Senior Occupational Therapist to join the team. This is a full time 37.5 hours role working across two of our services, Lombard House and Richmond House in Norfolk.
Located in Norfolk near the market town of Attleborough, Priory Lombard House is a specialist level 2 rehabilitation service for males with a learning disability. Care also extends to a dual diagnosis of autism, personality disorder and mental health conditions, with or without a history of offending behaviour.
Based in Harleston, Norfolk, Priory Richmond House is a level 2 rehabilitation service for those with a learning disability. We can support adult females with a range of needs, including those who are on the autism spectrum, those with a personality disorders, complex mental health needs, and those with a history of offending behaviours.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a registered occupational therapist, typically with a minimum of 5-7 years in clinical practice, including experience in leadership or supervisory roles. A relevant degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body are essential. Strong clinical expertise across various client groups, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex cases independently are required. Experience in service development, quality assurance, and mentoring staff is highly valued.

- Lead and oversee the assessment, planning, and delivery of complex occupational therapy interventions for diverse client populations.
- Mentor and supervise junior occupational therapists and assistants, providing guidance and professional development support.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address clients' functional goals.
- Conduct advanced evaluations and recommend adaptive equipment or modifications to improve clients' independence and quality of life.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
