Qualifications and Training

Essential criteria

• Valid Health Professions Council registration.
• Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent

Experience and Knowledge

Essential criteria

• Previous experience of working within MSK
• Attendance at post graduate courses in MSK
• Documented evidence of Continuing Professional
• Development of expanded, specialist skills.

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria

• Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with colleagues, other disciplines, patients, relatives and carers.
• Developed ability to assess patient conditions, establish a diagnosis and formulate and deliver a treatment plan using a range of modalities.
• Developed Clinical problem solving ability.

Personal Qualities

Essential criteria

• Contributes to a culture where the safe care of patients is the primary concern.
• Involves patients in decision making around their care and treatment planning.
• Demonstrates flexibility to meet service delivery and individual patient needs.
• Understands confidentiality requirements and how these link to their role.
