This fully remote Occupational Health Advisor role offers an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality occupational health services from home while enjoying a healthy work-life balance and ongoing professional development.
This home-based Occupational Health Advisor position is available on a full-time or part-time basis (minimum 3 days per week) and is ideal for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse Advisor looking to join a supportive and forward-thinking clinical team.
As an Occupational Health Advisor, you will undertake occupational health assessments, manage sickness absence and case management referrals, provide evidence-based workplace health advice, and support employee wellbeing across a diverse client portfolio.

Occupational Health Advisor Duties
- Deliver occupational health assessments focused on sickness absence management.
- Conduct up to eight 45-minute remote consultations per day.
- Provide clear, evidence-based occupational health reports and recommendations.
- Undertake pre-placement assessments where required.
- Manage your own caseload efficiently and professionally.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support employee wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate clinical records using advanced digital documentation systems.
- Senior clinicians may have opportunities to mentor trainee Occupational Health Advisors and contribute to clinical support activities.
Requirements for an Occupational Health Advisor
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
- Previous experience working as an Occupational Health Advisor.
- Strong case management and sickness absence management experience. (Minimum 2 years)
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a remote workload effectively.
- Proactive, professional and approachable manner.
- Ability to travel to client sites on occasion if required.
