Remote Clinical / Counselling Psychologist - Young People

Fully remote - UK* only

Permanent. Part time - 2 days per week /16 hours - Thursday and Friday
Salary: from £63,100 per annum plus excellent Bupa benefits


(based on full-time, if part-time this will be pro-rata)

Operational hours are 09:30-20:00, and all roles include 50% late shifts (11:30-20:00) to support demand during after-school hours.

Please note that business needs influence recommended shift patterns, which will be discussed further during the interview process.

At Bupa, our purpose is simple - we help people live longer, healthier, happier lives. As a Remote Clinical / Counselling Psychologist in our Young People Talking Therapy Team, you'll play an important part in making that happen every day.

You'll support young people aged 11-17 with their mental health through high-quality talking therapy delivered via video. It's a role where care, expertise and empathy come together to make a real difference - not just for individuals, but for their families too.

Working remotely, you'll be part of a supportive, experienced clinical team, with regular supervision and opportunities to grow your skills. You'll also have the chance to contribute to wellbeing initiatives, helping more young people access the support they need, when they need it.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, high-quality therapy to children and adolescents aged 11-17
  • Carry out assessments and create clear, evidence-based care plans
  • Deliver therapy sessions via secure video consultations
  • Work closely with families, schools and other support networks to share helpful information
  • Follow safeguarding guidance to keep young people safe
  • Manage risk and put support plans in place when needed
  • Work with colleagues across the wider therapy team to deliver joined-up care
  • Support referrals and guide clients to the right services when appropriate
  • Deliver one-off assessments, wellbeing support or group sessions where needed
  • Take part in clinical supervision and team meetings to support your development
  • Help improve how we support our customers and colleagues
What We're Looking For
  • A doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (accredited by the British Psychological Society)
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience working with children and young people aged 11-17
  • At least 1 year post-qualification experience
  • Confident in delivering therapy remotely
You'll also bring:
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different ages and needs
  • A caring, calm and professional approach
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your own caseload
  • Confidence working independently, while staying connected with a wider team
  • Experience using IT systems and managing patient records
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and development
Desirable:
  • Additional specialist therapy training
  • Experience in corporate or private healthcare settings
