What you will do:
- Develop and implement robust acquisition, disposal, and investment strategies to optimise asset performance.
- Conduct comprehensive financial and commercial appraisals to ensure value for money and explore innovative structuring options.
- Monitor and manage property-related capital and revenue programming to support evidence-based decision making.
- Lead negotiations with key stakeholders, developers, and partners to achieve the best outcomes for the council.
- Commission and oversee external property and legal advisors, ensuring high-quality and timely results in line with council processes.
- Provide expert strategic planning advice to determine site suitability for development, acquisition, or disposal.
- Promote best practices and drive excellence in the council's disposal and acquisition activities, including developing management practices and procedures.
- Ensure effective governance in property-related decisions for asset acquisition, management, disposal, or development.
- Deliver strategic advice, guidance, and support to the council, elected members, stakeholders, and external partners.
