What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with the GP service, multidisciplinary teams, and pharmacy provider to ensure timely medication orders and secure receipt on site.
- Act decisively on safety alerts to prioritise resident safety.
- Maintain secure storage of medications in collaboration with nursing teams.
- Participate in monthly multidisciplinary meetings to contribute to collaborative care planning.
- Contribute to clinical governance, ensuring recommendations for practice or policy changes are directed appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with GPhC guidelines by maintaining professional accreditations.
- Escalate quality concerns following company policy and work collaboratively with both clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
- Provide pharmacy expertise and support across departments throughout the week.
- Engage with pharmacy providers and nursing staff to enhance service delivery, conducting audits to encourage service improvements.
Where You Will Be Working:
Located at The Dean Neurological Centre, our facility is designed to offer exceptional specialist care with 60 beds for individuals with complex long-term neurological conditions. With a focus on slow-stream rehabilitation, we aim to maximise each individual's abilities, comfort, and quality of life. All rooms are equipped with high-dependency facilities tailored to individual needs, complemented by expansive therapy options, gardens, and recreational facilities.
To excel in this role, it is essential to have GPhC registration and a Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians (or equivalent qualifications), coupled with at least two years of supervised experience in a pharmacy setting.
