Pharmacist (Band 7) - Community Pharmacy or Outpatients Experience

Rate: £30 per hour

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Band 7 Pharmacist to join a dynamic clinical team in Dorset. This role offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced healthcare environment where your expertise in medicines management and clinical decision-making will directly contribute to patient safety and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services across designated wards or outpatient settings.
• Conduct detailed medication reviews and provide pharmaceutical interventions to optimise patient care.
• Support safe and effective prescribing practices in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with GPhC standards, Trust policies, and clinical governance procedures.
• Assist with discharge planning and contribute to efficient departmental workflow.
• Provide specialist advice on medicines optimisation and high-risk medications.

Experience Required

• Previous UK hospital pharmacy experience is essential.
• Candidates must have either:
  • Community Pharmacy experience, or
  • Outpatients Pharmacy experience.
• Experience working within NHS clinical pharmacy services is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of medicines management and clinical governance.

Essential Requirements

• MPharm Degree (or equivalent qualification)
• Current GPhC registration
• Right to Work in the UK
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
