Location: Oxford (with regional & UK-wide travel)

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Hours: Typically between 8:00am - 6:00pm



OH Medical is proud to be recruiting for a leading Occupational Health provider with a strong UK-wide presence. This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Health Technician to join a growing peripatetic team, delivering vital health surveillance services across a variety of industries.

The Role

As a Peripatetic Occupational Health Technician, you'll be out on the road-literally-driving a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to client sites and delivering high-quality health surveillance.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct health surveillance including:
  • Audiometry
  • Spirometry (lung function testing)
  • Blood pressure, height, weight & urinalysis
  • Accurately record and manage occupational health data
  • Ensure all medical equipment is maintained and compliant
  • Support health promotion and wellbeing initiatives
  • Work closely with the wider clinical team to support case management


What We're Looking For

This role suits someone who thrives in a structured yet ever-changing environment.

Ideal Background:

Experience as a:
  • Hospital Health Care Assistant
  • Emergency Care Assistant / Technician
  • Ambulance Technician
  • Military Medic
  • OR a Sports Science graduate with experience in baseline measurements
Essential Requirements:
  • Full UK manual driving licence (held for 12+ months)
  • Aged 21+ (for insurance purposes)
  • Comfortable with UK-wide travel and overnight stays
  • Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills
  • Understanding of GDPR and clinical data handling


Travel & Lifestyle

This is a true peripatetic role-perfect if you don't want to be desk-bound.
  • Regular travel across the UK
  • Overnight stays (approx. 3 weeks out of 4)
  • Home every weekend
  • Parking space required for MMU at home

Salary & Benefits
  • £25,000 - £27,000 per annum (depending on experience)
