We're looking for a motivated and organised PCN Pharmacy Technician to join our Brighton Primary Care Network. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive pharmacy technician who enjoys working collaboratively across sites, supporting medicines optimisation, and contributing to high-quality patient care .

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly competent and committed team, you will need to be a team player, someone who is able to build up relationships with people from all walks of life and settings . You'll be fully supported by our Lead PCN Pharmacy Technician, Lead Clinical Pharmacist, the wider pharmacy team, and the practice GPs .

What you'll be doing

As a Pharmacy Technician within the PCN, you will:
  • Supporting patients with medicines use and optimisation.
  • Carrying out medicines reconciliation, checking inhaler technique, and preparing monitoring for Structured Medication Reviews.
  • Helping streamline repeat prescribing processes and supporting safe medicines handling.
  • Promoting eRD, EPS and online ordering.
  • Supporting care homes with medicines processes and transfers of care.
  • Training practice teams on safe and effective medicines processes.
  • Supporting antimicrobial stewardship and national/local prescribing guidance
What we're looking for

Essential
  • GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician.
  • Experience in primary care, community or hospital pharmacy.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple sites.
  • Membership of a pharmaceutical body.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and recognise when to escalate.
Desirable
  • Experience working in a GP practice / primary care setting.
  • Familiarity with SystemOne or EMIS (not essential - training can be provided).
Location

You'll be based flexibly across three practices within the PCN:
  • Brighton Station Surgery
  • Allied Medical Practice
  • The Avenue Surgery

Due to the nature of this position, employment is subject to proof of eligibility to work in the UK, completion of a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure and three years of references.
