Payroll Accounts Assistant

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 (plus bonus-based incentive scheme)

Location: Codsall, Wolverhampton - office based

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Role

Due to an exciting period of growth, we are looking for a Payroll Accounts Assistant, who will play a key role in supporting weekly payroll for temporary workers and assisting with wider finance tasks. You'll need strong attention to detail, confidence with numbers, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Key Duties
  • Processing the weekly payroll for all temporary workers
  • Liaising with staff and management in relation to any queries
  • Processing of temporary workers expenses
  • Administering PAYE tax codes as notified from HMRC.
  • Processing of holiday pay and pension letters to all temporary workers
  • Processing deductions and attachment of earnings orders
  • Uploading of pension information
  • Complete any requests from HMRC/DWP regarding employee's earnings.
  • Supporting senior payroller with monthly NHS Tupe payroll when needed
  • Supporting senior payroller with payroll year end process
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by your line manager
Essential Skills & Experience
  • 18 months - 2 years payroll or administration experience
  • GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/Level 4+)
  • Strong Excel and IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reliable and committed, with evidence of dependability in previous roles
  • Experience managing queries and working to tight deadlines
Although not essential, experience using payroll software and processing sales/purchase ledgers would be advantageous.
