Part-Time | 30 Hours per Week | Permanent | On-Site

OH Medical is currently seeking an MSK Physiotherapist to join a leading Occupational Health provider in a permanent, part-time role based in Barrow-in-Furness.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality MSK services to employees within the workplace. Occupational Health experience is advantageous but isn't essential, and applications are also welcomed from newly or recently qualified Physiotherapists interested in developing a career within Occupational Health through a structured Graduate Training Programme.

The Role:

This varied role will see you provide an excellent MSK service, helping to prevent and minimise employee injury, ill health and absence while supporting effective rehabilitation and return to function.

Your duties will include:
  • Providing accurate clinical assessments, diagnosis and treatment for employees presenting with musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.
  • Delivering effective rehabilitation for employees with MSK conditions, whether work-related or non-work-related.
  • Assessing MSK conditions and determining their potential work-relatedness.
  • Providing clear reports to management regarding fitness for work and recommending appropriate short-term, long-term or permanent workplace adjustments.
  • Conducting DSE assessments and providing preventative advice, with training provided where required.
  • Recommending appropriate workplace changes or equipment following DSE assessments.
  • Working collaboratively and communicating effectively with the wider Occupational Health team.
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical assessment and treatment records.
  • Collecting statistical information to support service reporting.
  • Supporting and delivering health promotion activities and events.

Required Skills:

To be successful in this MSK Physiotherapist role, you'll be:
  • Qualified to BSc or MSc level in Physiotherapy.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Ideally experienced in MSK Physiotherapy, with approximately 2 years' experience within this area.
  • Newly or recently qualified Physiotherapists will also be considered, providing you have a genuine interest in developing your career within MSK and Occupational Health.
  • Confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused, flexible, organised and efficient.
  • Able to effectively plan and prioritise your workload.
Knowledge of workplace ergonomics and fitness-for-work assessments would be advantageous but isn't essential.

Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and/or the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE) would also be desirable.

Hours & Location:

This is a part-time role working 30 hours per week, based fully on-site in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.

As the role involves working across client sites, a car driver would be preferred.

Salary & Benefits:

In return for your expertise as an MSK Physiotherapist, you will receive:
  • £38,000 - £42,000 per annum for experienced clinicians (salary range based on full-time equivalent, subject to confirmation).
  • £32,000 starting salary for newly qualified Physiotherapists undertaking the Graduate Training Programme, increasing following successful completion (subject to pro-rata arrangements).
  • Contributory pension scheme up to 6%.
  • Life assurance.
  • 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service (pro rata for part-time hours).
  • An additional day's leave for your birthday.
  • Discounted gym membership.
