The pay for this position is £23-£28 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for a 3 month duration.

JOB SUMMARY
- The dietitian works as an autonomous practitioner to provide expert nutrition advice to patients, carers and other health professionals within the acute paediatric setting and the paediatric outpatient clinics held at the hospital. The role will include working closely with the gastroenterology MDT to manage the caseload of IBD patients. Some of this work will include working at the Hospital where the paediatric gastroenterology runs some of their services. The post holder will be supported by a team of 8 paediatric dietitians.
- The post holder will actively participate in the development of dietetic service policies, procedures and standards and regularly undertake audit.
- To deliver and evaluate a clinical dietetic service to paediatric in-patients and out- patients at LNWH
- To provide theoretical and practical training, teaching and support for dietitians, student dietitians, medical and nursing staff, and allied health professionals in the specialist dietetic area
- To ensure work is in line with departmental, Trust and National Dietetic standards
- To participate in the organisation and development of the paediatric dietetic team.
- To plan, deliver and evaluate the specialist clinical dietetic service for paediatric inpatients and outpatients.
- To provide theoretical and practical training, teaching and professional development support for dietitians, student dietitians, medical and nursing staff, and allied health professionals in the specialist dietetic area.
- To carry out regular clinical audit or research into this specialist area.
- To ensure work is in line with departmental, Trust and National Dietetic standards.
- To participate in the organisation and development of the dietetic team
