What you will do

  • Review care packages and apply manual handling expertise to implement single-handed care where appropriate.

  • Carry out comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, empowering service users to self-direct decisions where possible.

  • Take a professional lead role in triage, screening, and assessment of occupational and environmental needs.

  • Complete moving and handling assessments, recommending appropriate equipment and providing guidance to service users and carers.

  • Ensure commissioned support accurately reflects eligible needs, available resources, and value for money.

  • Undertake crisis intervention work, using professional judgement to support safe and effective outcomes.

  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to deliver coordinated, person-centred support.
