Occupational Therapist - Housing (Adaptations & Equipment) Team within AHP - Occupational Therapy in Durham, earning £23.54 per hour. This full-time temporary role runs from 8 June 2026 to 31 July 2026, working Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00. This is an excellent opportunity to join the East County team, covering areas including Seaham, Blackhall Colliery, Peterlee, Sedgefield, Chiltern, and Spennymoor, where you will utilise your experience in social care occupational therapy to make a meaningful impact.

What you will do
- Assessment: Evaluate housing needs for individuals requiring adaptations and equipment solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with housing teams to design and implement appropriate interventions.
- Adaptation Advice: Provide specialist guidance on major and minor adaptations to support independence.
- Home Visits: Conduct assessments in service users' homes to recommend suitable equipment and modifications.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Qualifications / Requirements
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in social care occupational therapy, particularly within housing, adaptations, and equipment provision.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
- Strong communication and assessment skills.
