What you will do

  • Occupational Therapy Process: Carry out the occupational therapy process collaboratively with service users and carers to promote independence and choice.
  • Assessment & Risk Management: Conduct assessments of need and evaluate risks in partnership with service users and carers.
  • Moving & Handling: Undertake moving and handling risk assessments with service users and carers.
  • Aids & Adaptations: Support service users and carers to identify and purchase appropriate aids and adaptations, in line with relevant legislation including the Children & Families Acts 1989 and 2004, and the Care Act 2014.
  • Joint Working: Coordinate effectively with Social Care staff, Health Care professionals, Children's Services, and wider partners to meet service user needs.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Involvement: Contribute to and lead multidisciplinary assessments and case conferences where required.

As a vital member of the Enabling Independence Team, you must be HCPC registered, enabling you to apply your recognised qualifications effectively in practice.
