We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Complex Care Team in Haringey. This ongoing full-time locum role offers a competitive hourly rate of up to £38.00, depending on experience, and provides the opportunity to make a real difference by supporting adults with complex care needs to maximise their independence and improve their quality of life across the borough.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions, helping residents achieve meaningful outcomes through person-centred, strengths-based practice.

What you will do:

  • Undertake comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments for adults with complex physical, neurological, cognitive, and functional needs.
  • Develop and implement personalised, evidence-based intervention plans that promote independence, wellbeing, and community participation.
  • Assess functional abilities, mobility, activities of daily living, and environmental factors affecting independence.
  • Recommend and arrange appropriate equipment, assistive technology, and major or minor adaptations to maximise independence and safety.
  • Work collaboratively with service users, carers, families, and multidisciplinary professionals to develop holistic care plans.
  • Provide specialist advice and education to service users, carers, and healthcare colleagues regarding rehabilitation, equipment, and safe moving and handling.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contributing expert Occupational Therapy knowledge to complex case discussions.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical records in accordance with HCPC standards and organisational policies.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Previous experience working within Complex Care, Adult Social Care, Community Rehabilitation, or a related specialist setting.
  • Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, communication, and multidisciplinary working skills.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding principles.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable to facilitate community visits across the borough.
