What you will do:

  • Complete home-based Occupational Therapy assessments, working closely with service users to address their needs.
  • Assess the needs of people with disabilities and recommend or arrange suitable equipment and home adaptations.
  • Support service users in maximising their independence in daily living activities through skill development and training.
  • Liaise effectively with carers, professionals, and partner agencies to ensure service users get comprehensive support.
  • Gather and assess specialist information to aid decision-making, design, and monitor home adaptation solutions.
  • Participate in case discussions, conferences, and multidisciplinary meetings, contributing to broader team goals.
  • Manage an Occupational Therapy caseload, ensuring all case records and reports are accurately maintained.
  • Contribute to service development and profile-raising initiatives, playing a vital role in team improvement.
  • Support staff through supervision and foster student training to ensure the continuity and growth of team knowledge.
