Occupational Therapist
Application Deadline: 28 February 2026
Department: Allied Health Professionals and Psychology
Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time
Location: Althea Park House
Compensation: £29,265 / year
Description
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join the team on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across three residential services in Stroud, Gloucestershire. Our services support young people aged 13-21 with eating disorders, complex mental health needs and autism, across CQC and Ofsted-registered homes, including specialist eating disorder and step-down provision.
What you'll be doing
The post sits within the Therapies Team and works across the three services, with Line Management from the Therapy Lead. Clinical supervision is provided by an OT external to the services.
Althea Park House is a 7-bed CQC-registered eating disorders service supporting young people aged 16+ with eating disorders and co-occurring conditions, alongside The Anchor , a 3-bed step-down home on site. Newcombe Lodge (7 beds) and The Lighthouse (5 beds) are CQC and Ofsted-registered children's homes for young women aged 13-21, supporting complex mental health needs including risk-taking behaviours, disordered eating and autism.
You can find additional information in the attached job description.
What you'll bring to the role
As the sole Occupational Therapist across the services, you will lead and shape OT practice, supporting OTAs and the wider care team. This rewarding but challenging role requires calmness under pressure and a compassionate, recovery-focused approach.
Applicants must hold a recognised OT qualification, be HCPC registered, and have a full UK driving licence and access to a car. Experience in eating disorders or mental health is highly desirable, with Sensory Integration experience an advantage. Strong assessment, communication and teamwork skills are essential.
For more information, contact Lornabath@priorygroup.com. Informal visits are welcome.
What we will give you in return
We want you to succeed at Priory and thrive in your role. You will be well supported with regular career conversations. We also offer full training and numerous pathways into leadership and qualified clinical positions to help you shape your career with us.
