What you will do:
- Conduct thorough functional assessments of sub-acute medical rehab patients, as well as step-up and step-down patients, focusing on moving and handling.
- Perform comprehensive cognitive screenings and assessments to aid in effective discharge planning.
- Oversee the ordering of functional equipment using systems such as SystmOne and the Medequip equipment ordering system.
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to develop patient-centred care plans.
- Communicate effectively through both oral and written channels, ensuring accurate and timely information sharing.
- Develop prioritisation and time management skills to efficiently manage caseloads.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Recent experience working as an Occupational Therapist within the UK.
- Previous experience within the NHS, showcasing a strong understanding of its procedures and standards.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
