Join a vibrant and dynamic team in Portsmouth as a Band 6 Mammographer within the Breast Screening service, earning up to £29.78 hourly on an ongoing basis. With two full-time positions available, this is a thrilling opportunity to work across both the Breast Imaging Department and Mobile Breast Screening Unit. As part of the NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP), you will be an integral part of maintaining the highest standards in breast imaging.

What you will do:
- Conduct high-quality mammography examinations within the NHS Breast Screening Programme
- Undertake screening, symptomatic, surveillance, and family history mammography services
- Work fluently across both static and mobile breast screening services
- Produce top-notch diagnostic images, minimising the need for repeat examinations
- Participate actively in image assessment, quality assurance, and audit activities
- Operate mammography equipment safely and effectively
- Register patients and manage appointments using radiology information systems
- Utilise PACS and NBSS systems for image review and workflow management
- Support health promotion and breast awareness initiatives
- Supervise and guide trainee mammographers, assistant practitioners, and mammography associates
- Contribute to clinical audits, service evaluation, and research activities
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, breast care teams, and multidisciplinary colleagues
- Maintain patient dignity, confidentiality, and uphold high standards of patient care
