We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reminders efficiently using practice management software.
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes accurately, including updating personal information.
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly, directing queries appropriately and providing information as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Process payments and insurance claims with attention to detail.
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure timely care.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and managing correspondence.
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming at all times.
Experience
- Previous office experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with administrative procedures.
- Administrative experience within a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly professional manner.
- Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent practice management systems is preferred. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and eager to contribute positively to patient experiences within a healthcare setting.
