Locum Specialist Acute Paediatric Physiotherapist

One of our NHS clients, a busy acute hospital in North London, is looking for an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist to join their specialist team on a locum basis at none level. This is a varied and fulfilling role working across a range of paediatric settings. The hourly pay rate for this position is £26.00 - £33.00 P/H all-inclusive.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of 12 months of NHS experience in paediatric physiotherapy, with a strong background in acute settings such as Paediatric HDU/ITU, general paediatric wards, neonatal care, or respiratory paediatrics
• Proven competency in paediatric respiratory physiotherapy, including airway clearance techniques, ventilated patients, and management of conditions such as bronchiolitis, cystic fibrosis, and neuromuscular disorders
• Experience in paediatric neurodevelopmental assessment and treatment (e.g. cerebral palsy, hypotonia, developmental delay) is highly desirable
• Familiarity with neonatal physiotherapy, including positioning, handling, and respiratory management in NICU/SCBU, is advantageous
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including with paediatric consultants, nursing staff, play specialists, and families
• A Physiotherapy degree (MSc or BSc) and current HCPC registration
• Up-to-date paediatric Basic Life Support (PBLS) certification
• A compassionate, family-centred approach and strong communication skills for working with children and their carers
• Availability to start within 2 weeks of confirmation and commitment to a minimum of 3 months
