Apprentice Dental Nurse
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and hardworking Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our friendly and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for a smart, ambitious, and self-motivated individual to develop their skills and gain valuable hands-on experience within a dental practice.
Working alongside experienced dental professionals, you will provide chairside assistance and help deliver a high standard of patient care while gaining the knowledge and practical skills required to build a successful career in dental nursing.
Salary and Working Hours
Annual Salary: £8,637.20
Working Hours: Part time, 21 hours per week, with flexibility to do more days if cover needed at short notice.
Duration: 8- 18 months

Training
Apprenticeship: Level 3 Dental Nurse (GDC 2023)
Training Provider: EXCELLENCE-SOLUTIONS LIMITED
As part of the apprenticeship, you will receive regular training and development. At least 20% of your working hours will be dedicated to training or study.
Key Responsibilities
As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming and greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Providing chairside assistance to dentists and other dental professionals
- Preparing the surgery and equipment before treatments
- Maintaining adequate stock levels and ordering supplies when required
- Charting and accurately managing patient information and records
- Preparing and mixing dental materials
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe clinical environment
- Following infection prevention and control procedures
- Booking and managing patient appointments
- Carrying out sterilisation and decontamination procedures
- Processing radiographs in accordance with practice procedures
- Answering telephone calls and dealing with patient enquiries professionally
- Supporting the wider dental team with day-to-day duties

This role would suit an enthusiastic individual who is keen to begin a career in dental nursing. Previous dental experience is not essential, as full apprenticeship training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is committed, reliable, eager to learn, and passionate about providing excellent patient care.
Salary range
- GPB 8,637.20 per year
