Health & Safety Advisor

Doncaster

Up to £48,000.00 per year

This is a well-established, family-run construction company operating across multiple live residential developments. The business prides itself on strong values, a supportive culture and a practical, people-first approach to health & safety. With continued growth and new sites coming on stream, they are looking to strengthen their Health & Safety function with a proactive, hands-on Advisor who can really make an impact on site.

The role covers between 10-15 live developments, currently spanning up to the Midlands, with potential expansion further north in the future. This is a highly visible role within the business, working closely with site and operational teams and reporting directly into the Group Head of Health & Safety.

What you'll be doing
  • Carrying out

regular site safety inspections and audits

across live residential developments, ensuring compliance with company policies, legislation and industry best practice
  • Supporting site teams to

close out actions, embedding a positive health & safety culture through coaching, training and practical guidance rather than a tick-box approach
  • Investigating incidents, near misses and potential RIDDORs, producing clear reports and working collaboratively with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
What you'll need
  • NEBOSH (essential), Construction Certificate (advantageous) and at least 2 years' experience in a construction health & safety role (housebuilding experience is a big plus)
  • Strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation and CDM Regulations, with the confidence to challenge unsafe practices constructively
  • A team-player mindset with initiative, common sense and the ability to hit the ground running in a fast-moving, multi-site environment
