Salaried GP – The Avenue Surgery

The Avenue Surgery is a friendly, forward-thinking GP practice based in South Moulsecoomb, Brighton, caring for approximately 6,500 patients. Our patient population has a higher-than-average level of deprivation, providing our team with the opportunity to make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of our local community.
We provide a wide range of services, including women’s health and contraception, asthma and COPD, diabetes and hypertension clinics, childhood immunisations.

Join Our Multidisciplinary Team
You will work alongside an experienced and supportive multidisciplinary team, including:
- GPs
- Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)
- Practice and specialist nursing staff
- Physiotherapist
- Pharmacy team
- Women’s Health Nurse
- Mental Health Practitioner
- Social Prescriber
Our MDT approach enables clinicians to work collaboratively, ensuring patients receive the right care from the right professional while supporting our GPs to focus on patients who require their expertise.
Salaried GP Opportunities
We are looking for Salaried GPs, as well as GPs interested in taking on additional responsibilities, such as:
- QOF Lead
- Prescribing Lead
- PCN Lead
- Education Lead
We welcome applications from both newly qualified GPs looking for their first salaried position and experienced GPs looking for a new challenge.
We offer fixed sessions of 4 hours 10 minutes and we are currently looking for 2 sessions a week.
We are also committed to supporting GPs who are developing their careers, with opportunities for leadership, education and professional development.
About You
We are looking for GPs who:
- Hold an MRCGP qualification
- Are registered on the GMC GP Register with a licence to practise
- Are included on an NHS National Performers List (England, Wales or Northern Ireland)
- Are UK based
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate strong clinical decision-making skills
- Are passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare
- Are motivated to develop their knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development
- Are committed to providing patient-centred care
- Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
