We are seeking a dedicated, skilled, and compassionate General Practitioner (GP) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered general medical services, including diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic conditions in a diverse patient population.
- Provide preventative care such as health education, immunizations, screenings, and lifestyle counseling.
- Create and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and administrative staff, to provide integrated care.
- Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare facilities when necessary.
- Promote health and well-being within the community through outreach and education.
- Stay current with medical advancements, treatments, and best practices through ongoing education and professional development.
- Uphold values of equity, inclusion, and fairness in providing care to patients with diverse economic, social, and cultural backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Current license to practice medicine; board certification as a General Practitioner or equivalent preferred.
- Proven expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions across all age groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with a diverse range of patients.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, even in high-pressure situations.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and in the community.
- Proficiency in using medical software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Dedication to professional development and staying informed on the latest medical advancements.
Day-to-Day
- Conduct patient consultations and physical examinations, either in-person or via telehealth platforms.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work, imaging, and other assessments.
- Address urgent patient concerns with timely diagnosis and treatment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive measures in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Manage follow-up care plans and treatments to ensure patient wellness and improvement.
- Participate in clinical team meetings to discuss complicated cases and collaborate on multidisciplinary approaches.
- Mentor or train medical staff, fostering an inclusive and supportive team environment.
