What you will do
- Provide psychological consultation, assessment and intervention for children and young people experiencing learning, emotional, behavioural or developmental difficulties.
- Lead and contribute to Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments in accordance with SEND legislation and local authority requirements.
- Work as a named link Educational Psychologist for allocated schools and educational settings, delivering preventative and solution-focused support.
- Undertake therapeutic and systemic work with children, families, schools, and community partners to improve educational and wellbeing outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience Needed
- Doctorate in Educational Psychology (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Eligibility for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Ongoing commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Registered Educational Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working within a Local Authority Educational Psychology Service or similar public sector environment.
- Proven involvement in statutory SEND assessments and EHCP processes.
