What you will do:
- Uphold professional standards as defined by the British Psychological Society and the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Deliver Educational Psychology Service work for identified settings and learners, including those off-island.
- Apply psychological theory and research to reduce barriers to learning and strengthen resilience in children and families.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships between children, families, and educational professionals.
- Provide expert advice for vulnerable groups and complex cases, including statutory assessments and annual reviews.
- Support schools in developing innovative strategies to improve teaching, behaviour, and attendance.
- Deliver psychological input for needs assessments and complex reviews in line with legislation.
- Provide consultation and support to parents and carers to improve outcomes for learners.
- Deliver training to build capacity within educational settings.
- Support critical incident and trauma response in schools when required.
- Maintain accurate records and complete necessary administrative duties.
- Stay updated with policy and legislative changes to ensure best practice.
