Description
Priory Hospital Norwich is looking to recruit a Director of Clinical Services to join the team.This is a full time 37.5 hours role including a £3,000 relocation allowance.
Set in the Norfolk countryside a mile outside the town of Attleborough, Norfolk, Priory Hospital Norwich is a 24/7, mental health inpatient provision, which provides care for males and females, split across wards which care for differing levels of acuity. We accept referrals from across the UK, and support the NHS with patient flow, by providing a pathway of care, suited to individual needs, including medium to high risk patients.
Priory's acute and PICU services aim to allow more people to be treated closer to home and we support the NHS to repatriate out-of-area patients back to local areas. Norwich also provides a 24/7, rapid response drug and alcohol service including detox.

You'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn't involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
What you'll bring to the role

The role holder must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse registered with the NMC. A detailed understanding of statutory regulations is essential, along with a passion for providing high-quality care and driving continuous improvement. The individual will demonstrate strong leadership and decision-making skills, and will be forward-thinking, proactive, and creative. They must be able to manage multiple issues simultaneously in a highly dynamic environment, while upholding high levels of integrity and clear professional boundaries. The role requires experience of working at a managerial level within a relevant hospital setting. The successful candidate will have experience managing a clinical budget, a strong background in leadership and people management, and a proven ability to lead, implement, and review quality initiatives. A strong track record of innovation is also essential.

- The DoCS play a key part in developing and delivering the hospital strategy, providing operational and clinical leadership to the team.
- Deputises for Hospital Director in their absence.
- Overall responsibility for all clinical departments' performance and governance.
- Oversight of site clinical staffing, and ownership of clinical department budgets.
