Description
Priory Hospital Cardiffis looking to recruit a Director of Clinical Services to join the team. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours a week. The working shift Pattern is Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
Priory Hospital Cardiff is a modern mental health treatment unit. The unit includes a variety of facilities, such as three secure gardens, a gym, patient practice kitchens, a patient social area, art rooms and dedicated support service areas. The service is currently being developed to provide bespoke treatment packages for a variety of patients with complex mental health needs. The unit will provide a modern, homely environment promoting independence, whilst employing an experienced multi-disciplinary team to oversee and support patient progress.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

The post holder must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council or the Health and Care Professions Council and hold a recognised post-registration qualification, along with full membership or accreditation of a relevant professional institution and evidence of ongoing continuous professional development. A detailed understanding of statutory regulations is essential, alongside a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and driving continuous improvement. The role requires demonstrated leadership and sound decision-making skills, with a forward-thinking, proactive and creative approach. Previous experience of working within a related environment is also required.

- Have clinical and leadership experience that provides the expertise and confidence required to support the wider nursing team.
- Be able to respond flexibly to change and the developing needs of the service.
- Be responsible for deputising in the absence of the ward manager if necessary and therefore must demonstrate a willingness to develop and expand on their existing roles and responsibilities.
- Be role models for their peers and demonstrate core priory values at all times therefore the expectations of this will need to be clearly set out. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities
- Registered Nurse with active NMC PIN with 7 years post-qualifying experience.
- Relevant clinical experience.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality.
