Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a comprehensive range of general dental services to maintain and enhance oral health within the community.

  • Provide emergency dental care during and outside normal hours to residents, visitors, and fishermen.

  • Participate in school screening programmes and initiatives to improve children's oral health.

  • Support the development and implementation of the Oral Health Strategy.

  • Assist with the day-to-day management and operational efficiency of the dental department.

  • Supervise and collaborate with dental nurses, hygienists, and support staff, ensuring quality standards are met.

  • Contribute to ongoing staff training and professional development within the team.

  • Engage in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement activities within the dental and hospital setting.

Essential Requirements

  • Fully qualified Dental Practitioner with GDC registration (or international equivalent).

  • Proven experience in general dentistry and dental emergency care.

  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
