Complex Home Care
Overview:

We are seeking a new team complex care assistant to work 1:1 with our client in their own home in the outskirts of Edenbridge. Supporting day-to-day you will help the client achieve their personal goals and pursue their interests whilst providing clinical and personal care support.

The client:

You would be working with a gentleman in his 30's who has a passion for everything fitness and physical wellbeing. With typical days spent between the gym, swimming pool, trampolining, massage, yoga and his home you would be someone who is keen to share and encourage these passions. Alongside this you would attend art sessions as well as access the community together in order to attend shows at the theatre (primarily musical comedy), go shopping and meet with friends.

Our client has clinical needs due to his quadriplegic cerebral palsy. These include PEG feeding, medication administration and moving and handling. He communicates via eye movement or typing on his ipad.

Ideal candidate:

Someone active, energetic and willing to get stuck in, specifically someone happy to swim and support with gym equipment

Someone who can hold a meaningful, engaging conversation with a good sense of humour

Someone who is confident in their capabilities and willing to listen, learn and adapt their focus and expectations to prioritise our client

Someone keen to be in the community and access new settings

Someone seeking to build a meaningful professional relationship built on trust

Someone compassionate and kind who will empower and support our client

Someone self-motivated and able to work under their own initiative
