We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join a very small, friendly 5+ bedded residential/mental health service in Bognor Regis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong care experience who is ready to step into a leadership role within a supportive environment.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the service, ensuring high standards of care and smooth operational delivery. This is a mixed role involving both office duties and floor‑based support.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Manager with daily operations
Supervising and guiding care staff
Ensuring compliance with care plans and regulatory standards
Contributing to assessments, reviews and documentation
Providing hands‑on support on the floor when required
Promoting a safe, person‑centred environment
Service User Needs
You will be supporting individuals with a range of needs, including:
Mental Health Conditions
Physical Disabilities
Visual or Hearing Impairments
Eating Disorders
Alcohol or Drug Misuse
Requirements
NVQ Level 3 or above (essential)
Previous experience in a care setting (Deputy or Senior HCA level preferred)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work mixed shifts
Compassionate, reliable and committed to high‑quality care

Salary range
