What You Will Do:

  • Carry out desk-based telephone assessments and in-person mobility evaluations to determine Blue Badge eligibility, in line with Department for Transport criteria.

  • Apply professional clinical judgement to assess how health conditions affect mobility during journeys.

  • Work closely with issuing assistants and applicants to ensure accurate decisions, offering clear explanations where needed.

  • Assess applications for both adults and children, considering all relevant legislation and guidance.

  • Support the Team Manager in handling complaints and appeals by providing informed, objective professional input.

  • Uphold equality, diversity, and inclusion values, ensuring assessments respect each applicant's social, cultural, linguistic, and religious background.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.

  • Registration with HCPC.
