What you will do:
- Perform laboratory techniques to a high standard of technical excellence as per department standard operating procedures, including basic troubleshooting of assays and procedures.
- Work efficiently to ensure all results are reported within departmental turnaround times, notifying a senior staff member of any deviations.
- Authorise and report investigation results, interpreting them to aid in diagnoses.
- Add clinically relevant comments as per laboratory policy, advising clinical staff on the appropriateness of investigations related to patients’ conditions and suggesting further tests where necessary.
- Understand and adhere to the department Quality Management System (QMS).
- Perform internal quality control and investigate any deviations.

Requirements:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have HCPC registration and a relevant qualification in biomedical science or an alternative qualification. Additionally, you should have post-qualifying experience within biomedical science.
