What you will do

• Provide highly specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions for patients with complex presentations on the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit and Rollesby Ward.
• Contribute to risk management, safeguarding, and complex case discussions, ensuring comprehensive care.
• Lead audit, research, service evaluation, and quality improvement projects to drive excellence in psychological services.
• Offer consultation and supervision within multidisciplinary teams to foster a supportive and educative environment.
• Use advanced skills in psychological formulation to support and enhance patient well-being.

Qualifications

• Doctoral level qualification in clinical psychology.
• Current registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC.
• Substantial post-qualification experience working with adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
• Experience working in NHS Secondary Adult Mental Health services, including PICU or acute settings.
• Proven experience providing consultation and supervision.

Experience required

• Extensive experience as an 8b principal clinical psychologist in the NHS within adult acute mental health services.
• Previous experience in running reflective practice groups for ward staff and supporting teams with complex case formulation and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability in assessing and treating service users with high complexity and risk.
