What you will do:

  • Deliver and supervise highly accurate radiotherapy treatment using advanced techniques such as IGRT, IMRT, VMAT, SABR, and image-guided protocols where appropriate.
  • Act as a clinical leader within designated treatment and pre-treatment areas, ensuring adherence to departmental quality standards and operational procedures.
  • Support workforce planning, rota management, and day-to-day service delivery to maintain patient throughput and service performance.
  • Undertake treatment verification, image assessment, and technical decision-making within an agreed scope of practice.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

  • BSc (Hons) Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent recognised qualification is essential.
  • Evidence of relevant postgraduate study or specialist radiotherapy training is also advantageous.
  • Leadership, management, or workforce development training is desirable.

Registration & Compliance:

  • Current HCPC registration as a Therapeutic Radiographer with comprehensive knowledge of IR(ME)R Regulations, IRR legislation, and NHS clinical governance requirements.
  • A working knowledge of patient safety, quality assurance, and radiotherapy accreditation standards is required.

Experience:

  • Significant post-registration experience within an NHS radiotherapy department is essential.
  • Experience leading clinical teams or managing operational radiotherapy services is required.
  • Proven involvement in staff education, competency assessment, and mentorship rounds out your profile.
