What you will do

  • Work collaboratively with operational and clinical senior managers within the Urology service to develop and deliver strategic objectives.
  • Liaise within a multidisciplinary team to manage, report, and deliver imaging and ESWL treatment services.
  • Provide feedback to the Lead Lithotripsy Urology Consultant, support clinical audits, and offer specialist advice across teams.
  • Monitor clinical governance, ensuring shared learning, peer review audits, and robust training plans are delivered.
  • Develop the Lithotripsy service in line with national and local NHS guidelines, promoting patient advocacy and effective communication.
  • Generate clinical reports within your scope of practice, assist with radiographic diagnosis, and suggest differential diagnoses.
  • Lead the Lithotripsy service, coordinating stone MDT meetings, ESWL reviews, and referral management.
  • Undertake a range of diagnostic radiography procedures, prioritising patients and supporting diagnostic service expansion.
  • Contribute to departmental development, including service planning and equipment procurement.
  • Uphold high professional standards through peer review, self‑audit, and reflective practice.
  • Carry out research and audits to support service development, managing finances and stock control within agreed budgets.

Requirements

  • Must be registered with the HCPC.
  • A minimum of two years' post‑qualifying experience is required.
  • Car driver preferred to support mobility across multiple sites.
