Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to work within adult acute and community settings in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. This full-time locum role offers a highly competitive hourly rate of £45.00 and the chance to work with adults experiencing speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties.

You will deliver highly specialist, patient-centred care across a variety of settings while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to support recovery, independence, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a clinical caseload providing specialist services to adults with complex speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties.

• Work across multiple settings including acute, rehabilitation, continuing care, and community environments.

• Develop and implement tailored therapy plans to meet individual patient needs, ensuring a holistic approach.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care supporting patient outcomes.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting and evaluating all interventions.

Requirements

• HCPC registration is essential.

• Minimum of two years' experience in an adult setting.

• Postgraduate dysphagia training qualification with competencies in tracheostomy and videofluoroscopy (VF).

• Full driving licence preferred to enable travel across community settings.
