This full-time locum position offers an attractive rate of up to £56.00 per hour, depending on experience, with an initial 1-month contract and the potential for ongoing work. What you will do:
- Perform obstetric ultrasound examinations accurately and professionally.
- Independently undertake gynaecology ultrasound examinations.
- Scan, assess, and interpret ultrasound findings with a high level of clinical competence.
- Produce clear, detailed, and accurate diagnostic reports.
- Maintain consistently high clinical, technical, and professional standards.
- Work collaboratively across Radiology and Ultrasound services.
- Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary clinical teams to support patient care and clinical decision-making.
- Ensure patient records, examination findings, and associated documentation are accurately maintained.
- Follow relevant clinical protocols, governance requirements, and departmental procedures.
- Contribute positively to a high-quality, patient-centred ultrasound service.
Essential requirements:
- Relevant qualification as a Sonographer.
- Appropriate professional registration.
- Demonstrable experience in obstetric ultrasound.
- Demonstrable experience in gynaecology ultrasound.
- Ability to independently perform ultrasound examinations and report findings.
- Previous NHS experience.
- Compliance with the RM6281 Framework.
- Completed compliance checklist.
- Right to Work documentation.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
Desirable requirements:
- Previous experience working specifically within an Obstetrics & Gynaecology department.
- Experience working within an acute NHS Trust.
- Broader experience across specialist Obstetrics & Gynaecology ultrasound services.
