What You Will Do:
- Maintain a personal clinical caseload, ensuring a high level of professional competence and clinical expertise in paediatric speech and language therapy for children in mainstream schools.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, carers, and colleagues, providing specialist advice and involving them in care planning and prioritisation.
- Reflect on clinical practice, identifying client strengths and needs, reviewing therapy responses, and demonstrating expert clinical judgement in complex cases.
- Promote awareness of paediatric speech and language therapy within the Haringey community.
- Support schools and families in creating environments that foster language and interaction skill development.
- Develop highly specialised strategies for early identification of speech and language difficulties, working closely with parents and professionals.
- Monitor and review children's progress, adapting care plans and targets as necessary using outcome measurement tools.
- Adapt practice to meet individual client circumstances, considering cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Produce detailed reports, therapy programmes, and advice, showcasing clinical expertise in a timely manner.
- Contribute to Educational, Health, and Care assessments following the Children and Families Act 2014.
- Develop knowledge of relevant procedures including Safeguarding, SEN, and Vulnerable Adults frameworks.
- Refer children to other Health, Education, or Social Services professionals when needed.
- Conduct home visits
