As a Band 7 Mammographer, you'll be expected to have a BSc (Hons) in Radiography or a DCR/Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography, HCPC registration, personal indemnity insurance or membership of the Society of Radiographers. Experience in the Breast Screening Service or a Symptomatic Breast Service is essential. You should also be knowledgeable about the National Breast Screening Service and demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development. A track record of high standards in mammography and advanced practice is also vital. Being a car driver would be advantageous.
