Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 7 General Sonographer to join a busy diagnostic imaging service in Lewisham on an ongoing full-time locum basis. This role offers excellent earning potential alongside the flexibility of locum work, enabling you to further develop your expertise across a broad range of ultrasound examinations within a supportive clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a comprehensive range of ultrasound examinations including general abdominal, urinary tract, small parts, soft tissue, groin, MSK, gynaecology and obstetric scans

• Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services and produce accurate, timely clinical reports

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support diagnosis and patient treatment planning

• Maintain professional and clinical standards in line with departmental and national guidelines

• Ensure ultrasound equipment is used safely and maintained appropriately

• Keep up to date with developments in ultrasound technology, best practice and clinical protocols

Person Specification
Essential

• HCPC registration or equivalent professional registration

• Proven experience working as a General Sonographer at Band 7 level

• Competence across a wide range of ultrasound examinations

• Strong communication and reporting skills

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites

Desirable

• NHS experience within diagnostic imaging services

• Postgraduate ultrasound qualification
