Type: Full-time Locum Contract - 12 Weeks with a View to Extension (Fully Remote)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Cognitive Behavioral Therapist to join our dedicated team at the Ascend Service, a Sexual Assault Recovery Service. We are looking for a skilled professional to provide high-intensity interventions, including trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), if appropriately trained and accredited. This role is offered on a full-time locum basis for an initial 12 weeks, with a view to extension.

As part of the Ascend team, you will work exclusively with female clients of diverse cultural backgrounds and ages, ensuring the provision of equal opportunities and using interpreters when necessary. This role underlines our commitment to offering empathetic and comprehensive care to individuals recovering from trauma.

What you will do:

  • Conduct assessments and deliver psychological interventions to individuals who have experienced sexual trauma.
  • Provide high-intensity trauma-focused CBT and EMDR (if accredited).
  • Liaise with other professionals in a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical records.
  • Supervise, support, and lead other team members as necessary.
  • Engage in regular professional development and supervision sessions.

The Ascend Sexual Assault Recovery Service is a collaborative effort within the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, North Staffordshire Combined NHS Trust, VCSE, Survive, Women's Aid, and the Staffordshire Police Crime Commissioner.
