What you will do:

  • Provide expert advice and second opinions to SLT colleagues, particularly in the clinical management of clients following a stroke.

  • Assess and analyze the type, severity, and impact of complex conditions related to speech, language, communication, and swallowing impairments in a diverse range of adult patients, utilising both formal and informal assessments.

  • Offer guidance for clinical management, especially where multi-disciplinary team input is crucial on wards.

  • Contribute your expertise to the development of local clinical guidelines, applying specialist experience from your specific work area.

  • Successfully complete the competency framework within your specialist area of stroke.

  • Monitor and evaluate the clinical effectiveness of interventions using evidence-based practice and outcome measures.

Applicants must be HCPC registered and a car driver is essential for this role.
