You will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality radiotherapy services, participating in on-call rotas, late cover, and Bank Holiday responsibilities while supporting patients throughout their treatment journey.

What you will do

  • Deliver radiotherapy treatments safely, accurately, and in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Operate linear accelerators and associated radiotherapy equipment.
  • Undertake treatment verification using IGRT techniques, including anatomy matching and image review.
  • Perform CT simulation procedures and treatment preparation duties.
  • Check and verify treatment plans to ensure treatment accuracy and patient safety.
  • Monitor patient wellbeing throughout treatment and escalate any concerns appropriately.
  • Support outpatient clinics and radiotherapy treatment units.
  • Supervise and support junior radiographers, assistant practitioners, and students.
  • Participate in quality assurance programmes, audits, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate treatment records
