This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist specialising in dysphagia, right in the heart of Hounslow. We offer a full-time role for a robust 3-month period where your expertise will shine, earning up to £27 per hour.

What you will do

  • Manage a complex caseload from assessment all the way through to discharge.
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based care aligned with national standards such as NICE guidelines.
  • Uphold professional and legal accountability to HCPC and RCSLT standards and organisational policies.
  • Offer specialist clinical advice to other healthcare professionals, including those less experienced in mental health or learning disabilities.
  • Utilise the Trust's Quality Improvement System to contribute to safety and quality improvements.
  • Ensure all clinical activities are conducted professionally and legally, in adherence with the HCPC Code of Practice.
  • Obtain informed consent before engaging in any clinical activities.
  • Deliver individualised, high-quality specialist assessments, interventions, and follow up with progress evaluations.
  • Develop and facilitate group sessions focused on enhancing communication and social skills.

Qualifications / Requirements / Person Specification (if present)

  • HCPC registration is essential.
  • A valid driving licence is necessary for this role.
